Grasshair Girl design process. I wanted an innocent look for her and took references from Tezuka's Metropolis. But later settled for something more abstract and connected to nature rather than a bipedal.

The symbol on Grasshair Girl's face was inspired from  the symbols in the Hmong culture. This symbol represents Love.

The layers of the character were topologized, rigged and animated in Maya. The texture maps were created in Sprite Illuminator and painted in PS.
